Transportation

Public transportation in Guatemala is too crowded and not reliable.   That’s why we provide you with an escort and private transportation for all your  medical appointments and hospital transfers.

Between Guatemala-City and Antigua there are mini-shuttle buses every 3 hours approximately.  However, if you are convalescing from surgery, we recommend you to use private transportation to travel to Antigua or to Lake Atitlan.

There is no shuttle service between Antigua and the Thermal Spa at Lake Amatitlan.  For those transfers, Medical Tourism Guatemala hires private transportation with small business owners, who are insured and registered with the Guatemala’s Tourist Board (Inguat).  We select drivers with “soft” driving manners.
