Requisits

• Transplants from umbilical cord cells and adult stem cells ( extracted from peripheral blood or from the bone marrow of  the hip or the thigh) are the safest. Both procedures are performed in Guatemala.
• For stem cell therapies that treat cancer related diseases, the patient needs to remain 5 days in the hospital in Guatemala, and another 2 or 3 days thereafter to be properly monitored, before flying back home.
• All medical records including: medical history, blood screenings, X-ray and MRI images have to be forwarded before an accurate assessment can be given as to which type of cell therapies are best suited for the patient.
• If medical records are older than 3 months, all relevant tests can be done in Guatemala before the procedure.
