(*)What is meant by “total days of convalescence post-surgery”, is the total amount of days you have to spend in Guatemala after the surgery, including the amount of days you spend in the hospital after surgery. For instance for Arthroplasty: after 5 days in the hospital, patient needs to remain in convalescence a total of 10 days in Guatemala. Suture points are usually taken out 10 days after surgery. If patient wants he can board a plane the day after suture points have been taken out, or he can prolong his vacation in Guatemala, for instance in Antigua where we can find affordable places for prolonging his convalescence.
